Manage NRCC Games team of up to 6 students and 3 faculty as part-time employees, including hiring, staffing, payroll, creating, managing and implementing budgets, and directing content of educational iPhone games.
NRCC Games has 13 educational games currently for sale on Apple iPhone App Store. Search for “NRCC Games” on iTunes . Earned revenue of over $21,123 since July 2012.
Created business model to fund NRCC Games Studio program from revenues from the Apple App Store .
Gained approval for first ever IP Agreement with Virginia Department of Education to retain intellectual property for games created under EITT federal grant.
Solely managed $320,000 EETT grant budget including personnel, hardware and software orders, scheduling, work tasks for NRCC portion of EETT federal grant over 18 month period.

Department Chair duties include strategic planning, budgeting, equipment and software evaluation and procurement, recruiting and interviewing full-time faculty and adjuncts, creating class schedules, staffing classes, planning, evaluating and revising curricula. Department over the years includes 3-5 full-time faculty and 11-22 adjunct faculty each semester.
In addition to department chair duties, currently teach a minimum of 15 credit hours in mobile apps, web apps and web design, game design, computer science, digital media, IT careers and cyber-ethics.
Served on VCCS state level Innovation Task Force of 24 members, and brand-new Innovation Committee at NRCC
(2011-2012)
Teach at least one online course each semester. Taught the first totally online course in 1997.
Consistently use innovative technology in teaching in distance learning and in the classroom. Recent examples include using Lego Robotics for teaching programming, iPads and iPods for web design and mobile applications, multimedia programming using Python, and MyGraphicsLab for online web design courses.
2 years in statewide VCCS agreements by initiating, creating, processing and implementing CIW certification agreement and Adobe software purchase agreement.

12 years in creating, implementing and revising transfer agreements for Associate IT AAS degrees from NRCC to
Radford University and Virginia Tech. First IT transfer agreement approved in 2002 with Radford University.
Partnered with Jeff Levy, CAD instructor, to create and launch the first game design degree specializations in Virginia in
2006 at post-secondary level. Created and implemented transfer agreements with Radford University, created curriculum for Game Technology programs in IT and CAD.
Experience with program review and assessment at the community college level as well as the secondary level.
Served on curriculum review committee for the Virginia Department of Education for computer science and programming courses.
