Dear Prospective Radford University Student,
Congratulations on your acceptance to Radford University! As a student who has
expressed interest in majoring in a mathematics, science, or technology discipline,
RU’s College of Science and Technology would like to invite you to an open house on
Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010 from 1:00p.m.-3:30p.m. on the Radford campus, with an
opening session in McGuffey Hall room 203.
You will get a chance to meet other prospective students, tour the campus, and visit
RU resources such as the planetarium, science museum, and greenhouse. We will
also have question and answer sessions with current RU students, as well as a
chance to talk with faculty.
I have also enclosed a brochure describing a scholarship opportunity, “Bridges and
Pipelines,” targeted for students who major in mathematics, science, or technology
disciplines, with instructions on how to apply.
Please RSVP to me (email, phone, or US Mail) by Friday Feb.19 with how many
people plan to attend (you are encouraged to bring family and friends) and an email
address so that we can send you a campus map, parking instructions, and any
updates.
