The Qualifications of the Board of Directors:



Current membership in good standing
Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills
A desire to work with parents and players in the promotion and development of a successful inline
hockey program
Responsibilities of Board of Directors Positions:

President
Preside as a chair of NA Inline Board meetings
Ensure that there are representatives at all PRIHL meetings
Schedule all NA Inline Board meetings and secure location
Ensure that the NA Inline organization is operated within the established by-laws
Assist with securing rink time for team practices/ working with Head Coach
Oversee long range planning for NA Inline
Work with Head Coach and Team Coaches on players’ issues – discipline and academics
Coordinate fundraising efforts
Attend All meetings scheduled by NAAD for Organization Presidents
Designate members to attend additional area meetings that are relevant to NA Inline’s Interests
Coordinate any Additional Insurance Coverage deemed necessary by the board
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Vice-President for High School
Assist with the recruitment of coaches and provide recommendations to the NA Head Coach
Present off season training and player development opportunities
Present spring/summer house league and travel team opportunities
Serve as an aide to the President and preside in the absence of the President
Assist in RMU practice scheduling
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Vice-President for Middle School and Vice-President for Elementary School
Present off season training and player development opportunities
Assist with the recruitment of coaches and provide recommendations to the NA Inline board
Ensure coaches have met all requirements of the PIRHL including coaching clinics and AAU Insurance
and trainings

D.) Secretary
 Record the minutes of all Board of Director and Parent meetings
 Provide a brief verbal accounting of the previous Board or Parent meeting
 Handle all official Association correspondence
 Have custody of the minutes, transcripts, correspondence and all other important records of the
Association and provide a copy to any board member if needed
 Update and maintain player rosters and a player database
E.) Member At Large/ Medical Forms


Maintain electronic list of submitted medical forms/waivers/ etc. for organizations records
Coordinate Concussion Insurance program, provide coaches with information/forms for injuries and
assist in filing claim forms if necessary
 Maintain open dialog with general membership relaying feedback/ideas/concerns to the board
 Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
F.) Treasurer
 Maintain the NA Inline financial records and ensure that the Association is in compliance with
standard accounting practices
 Collect funds and keep a full and accurate accounting of all funds, including monthly bank
reconciliations
 Disburse funds as authorized by the Board of Directors
 All checks require two authorized signatures
 Present a financial report at each regular Board of Director and Parent meeting
 Prepare an annual financial report and proposed budget for the Spring board of Directors meeting
 Prepare and file tax forms and returns if necessary, as required by the IRS or other governing
agencies
 Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
G.) Webmaster






Maintain or assist with Association’s website
Work with all the North Allegheny Schools to promote NA Inline hockey; website link, NATV
coverage etc.
Develop contacts to promote the NA Inline program to the North Allegheny local schools, including
announcements in schools
Post Board Meeting information and other important notices/information on the NA Inline website
Coordinate player registration; prepare and distribute registration forms and materials to the
players
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
H.) PIRHL Representative










Attend all PIRHL Meetings and other PIRHL Committees as necessary
Coordinate AAU Membership for NA Inline Association, verifying that AAU #’s are current
Attend all Training sessions required by PIRHL, and obtain all Coaching Certifications, including AAU
Complete PIRHL Rosters and submit to league by deadlines along with League Fees
Maintain Communication with PIRHL about disciplinary items regarding NA Inline teams
Maintain communication with PIRHL in reference to games schedules, Event Schedules, Game
Cancellations, etc. and relay information to appropriate people.
Coordinate Dates for Coaches to attend PIRHL Coaches Clinics are required by league
Maintain Record of NA Inline Coaches Certifications, not Maintained by NAAD
Update and maintain player rosters and a player database
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
NON Board Volunteer Positions





























Equipment Manager
Maintain the equipment inventory for all PRIHA teams
Keep a full and accurate accounting of all NA Inline equipment
Coordinate with coaching staff regarding supplies needed
Provide Coaches Supplies including pucks/ medical Kit, etc.- Collect and store for the following year.
Have all Goalie Equipment cleaned/serviced as necessary
Additional duties as deemed necessary by the current Board
Photo Day Manager
Schedule photo day for organization, coordinating with the North Allegheny Calendar to reduce
conflicts
Schedule Senior pictures, coordinate Senior Video if necessary
Provide Yearbook staff with team photos, and individual photos as requested
Arrange for game photos to be taken and delivered to Head Coach. Provide slide show for banquet.
Uniforms
Schedule uniform sizing dates, allowing time for orders to be placed & shipped
Order all uniforms and maintain list of jersey #’s so that there are no duplicates
Design/ order all new jersey’s and pants for the organization Elementary- Varsity
Manage Used jersey Inventory
Maintain a record of all Payments made for Jersey/uniforms and forward itemized checks to
treasurer
Clothing Sale
Organize vendors for Fall Clothing sale
Have samples of clothing/ order forms at Fall Photo day
Maintain record of all clothing sold/profit for the benefit of the Eric Pelly Scholarship fund
Provide treasurer with itemized account of money collected
Coordinate Clothing delivery by deadline
UBO Representative
Attend all Unified Boosters Organization Meetings, representing NA Inline’s interests
Relay all pertinent UBO information to the Board
Keep Board and NA Liaison apprised of Scholarship Opportunities
Coordinate all Scholar Athlete certificates and t-shirts and distribution
Appointed Position by Head Coach:







North Allegheny Liaison (Appointed by Head Coach)
Assist Head Coach for the Varsity and Junior Varsity program by interfacing with the NA Inline board
Assist Head Coach in communication to all high school players regarding district compliance
information and deadlines
Coordinate Eric Pelly Scholarship and selection process for seniors. Provide seniors with all NA
scholarship information and deadlines. Provide seniors with PIRHL Scholarship information and
Deadlines
Coordinate Unified Boosters Scholar Athlete participation with the UBO Representative.
Coordinate Senior pictures, Senior plaques and Shadow Box for the North Allegheny Athletic
department
Coordinate Volunteers for Senior Night, including Scheduling of Senior Night through PIRHL
representative
Work with High School Banquet Volunteer/Coordinator
