The Data: Coverage, Periodicity, and Timeliness
Coverage characteristics Data are disseminated in millions of N.T. dollars on the total gross outstanding debt of central government debt.Central Government bonds and borrowings are domestic.
The following data are disseminated ：
1.A breakdown of total debt by debt instrument into loans ； bonds ； and
Periodicity
Timeliness others.
2.A breakdown of total debt by residency of debt holder into ： debt held by domestic residents.
3.A breakdown by original maturity into ： short-term debt ； medium/long debt ； contract authorizations.
4.Debt guaranteed by the central government.
Monthly ; Yearly
Monthly ： Within 15 ~ 18 days after the end of the reference month.
Yearly ： Within 3 ~ 4 months after the end of the reference year.
Advance dissemination of release calendar
Simultaneous release to all interested parties
Access by the Public
An advance release calendar which gives at least one month ahead notice of the precise release dates is disseminated on the Ministry of Finance

The data for prescribed components are released simultaneously to all interested parties by issuing the press release “Central Government Debt” and by posting the data on the Ministry of Finance Internet website

The data are compiled under the terms of the law on
1.“The Central Government Agency Budget Implementation

The data on Central Government Debt are disseminated as a service to the public.
No officials, except those “National Treasury Agency” and “The Central
Bank of the Republic of China （ Taiwan ） ” officials who are in charge of the administration of the central government debt, have access to the data before their release to the public.
There is no ministerial commentary attached to the release of the data. Identification of ministerial commentary on the occasion of statistical releases
Provision of information about revision and advance notice of major changes in methodology
The data are final when first released and are not subject to revision.
Major changes in methodology would require a chang in the law on budget and accounts, at the time the change is introduced.

Notes: According to the new revised Budget Law, the current fiscal year period has been changed from
July – June to January – December from 2001.
