from the region, state, or the entire nation. Upon hearing from them, the committee makes
announcements to our students through HOSPMGMT listserv e-mail and/or online posting.
A number of Rosen College students have been recognized by external organizations for
their scholarships. Sponsors of these scholarships include, but are not limited, to the
following.
CFHAL (Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association)

The list of sponsors in this category increases each year.
B:
Qualification & Application Protocol
All Rosen College students are qualified as long as they meet the following conditions:
1. Fulltime course load (12 credit hours for undergraduate students, 9 credit hours for
graduate students)
2. Must be majoring in a degree program offered by the Rosen College.
3. Some sponsors require US citizenship or Permanent Residency
The committee collects applications once a year (in the beginning of a new academic year) for
scholarships during one academic year. This practice is to minimize the redundancy in
application process. From the collected application material, the committee creates a master file
(applicant pool). For this reason, students are highly encouraged to submit their application now
as specified in the next section.
C:
Screening & Selection Process
From the collected material, the committee screens for eligible applicants. In this process, only
those who have complied with all the requirements will be screened in. Please refer to the
section D for required application material. As mentioned, this master file (applicant pool) will
be continuously used throughout the entire academic year to select and/or nominate the most
appropriate candidate(s).
