warmup, interview four classmates about what they did
over the weekend. Be sure to write out your responses
in the third person singular (el/ella). Whenever
applicable, use the reflexive pronoun se in front of your
conjugation when using a reflexive verb (-arse)
Por ejemplo: ¿Qué hiciste el fin de semana pasado?
Haley practico’ (practicar = to practice) baloncesto con su
equipo.
Angélica visito’ (visitar = to visit) con su familia en Alameda.

Plan
- On Tuesday of last week, you should have finished filling
out your “Student-Based Lesson Plan Format” (below)
for your chosen topic in Ch. 3 (pgs. 128-180)
- Last Thursday, you went into the computer lab and
designed the three parts to your lesson:
1. Intro: How are you going to introduce your topic to
the class? Will there be any notetaking? Examples?
Identify how you are going to communicate the key
terms and concepts to the rest of class (Powerpoint,
handout, video, poster, flashcards, etc.)
2. Assessment: How are you going to make sure your
classmates’ understood your lesson? Identify the type
of assessment (written test/quiz, cloze writing activity
[song lyrics fill-in-the-blank], dialogue/conversation,
presentational speaking, drawing, etc) you will give
for the rest of the class.
3. Student Activities: What opportunities for practice
will you provide your classmates prior to taking the
assessment? Identify the types of activities (writing
exercises, reading exercises, dialogue/conversation
practice, listening comprehension, games, etc) you
will provide for the rest of the class and what
technology, materials, and recourses you will need.
- Today, you will practice presenting your lesson with
another group. You will present your intro (notes, key
terms and concepts) student activity, and assessment
(We will begin lesson plan presentations next Tuesday.
