Barlow, Jr. ATTENTION: CLASS of 2016 HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS The XI IOTA Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. announces its annual Clarence A. Jones Scholarship. The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity was founded in 1911. The XI IOTA Chapter of Omega Psi Phi of Charlottesville, Virginia was founded in 1946. The four Cardinal Principles are: Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. Our objective is to achieve through the award of scholarship, our support for students of promising ability and a record of community service, who have a financial need in order to continue their education. To be considered for a scholarship, an applicant must meet the following criteria: Must be a resident of Albemarle County, Charlottesville, Greene County, Fluvanna County, Louisa County, and Waynesboro. Must have maintained a “C” or better grade average prior to eligibility for graduation and must have been accepted at an accredited institution of higher learning. Must have a history of school and community involvement. The three requirements to this process are: A completed application signed and dated by the applicant Two letters of recommendation A one page, typed essay on one of the above listed Cardinal Principles. All requirements to be emailed at www.info@cajscholarshipfoundation.org no later than April 24, 2016 in order to be considered for the scholarship. The recipient(s) of the scholarship will be announced prior to graduation. A check for the amount of the scholarship will be made payable to the recipient(s), once proof of the educational institution she or he will be attending can be obtained.
