RESPONSIBLE ORGANIZATION:
Boromarajonani College of Nursing, UdonThani (BCNU)

PHILOSOPHY AND RATIONALE:
Midwives play an essential role in reducing maternal and neonatal mortality in the entire world.
Since maternal and infant mortality rates are significantly high in Asian regions, strengthening
midwifery education program in pursuit of better safe motherhood outcome is crucial. The goal of
this International Midwifery Training: Making Motherhood Safer is to increase the midwives’
competencies to take leadership roles in the development and implementation of their countries’
National Safe Motherhood Plans.
Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Udonthani (BCNU) acknowledges this significance and
prioritizes primary healthcare services to reduce these health problems. We envision boundless
possibilities for our students to develop their full potential into nursing and midwifery personnel.
BCNU has been serving Ministry of Public Health of Thailand in educating and training nursing
and midwifery providers since 1975, with over 5,000 alumni. We limitlessly develop programs
to serve for nursing and midwifery education and innovation. Boromarajonani College of
Nursing,Udonthani working in partnership with Praboromarajchanok Institute for Health
