*Campus created benchmarks are tests created by each campus. A copy of the
campus created benchmark will be given to the Curriculum Specialist assigned
to that cluster. An answer key with objectives will be provided and test results
will be sent to the Assessment Department to be imported into AEIS-IT.
Documentation:
1. Scheduled dates of benchmarks to be given on the campus. (Each
subject area) Example:
4th Grade
Reading
November 5th
Math
November 6th
This schedule is due September 14th to the
Assessment Department for both benchmarks.
Data that will be required to be given to the Assessment Department:
1. An answer key, that includes objectives, exported from AEIS-IT.
(Only for the campus created benchmark.)
2. Scanned data exported from AEIS-IT to be imported into AEIS-IT at
the Assessment office.
Due Dates for Data:
1. Both the Test Key and the Scanned Data will be due to Assessment
by the following dates;
a. For the November 5th – 9th testing window the data will be
due by November 14th.
b. For the January 9th – 15th testing window the data will be
due by January 18th.
If a campus does not have a scanner they may call for a time
to scan at the Assessment Warehouse.
2nd Benchmark – January 9th – 15th
Release Test 2006 (TAKS only)
All tests included in the Release Test will be given during this window.
A copy of the 2006 Release Tests can be found on the TEA web site.
The campuses will be responsible for copying the tests for use on their
campus. Campuses should not use the 2006 Release Test during the first
semester to ensure good information.

NOTE : Testing for Special Education students testing below grade

be a test called SDAA this year, some thought should be put into what
test to give each student for benchmarking. For example if a student is
two grade levels below in Reading you might consider giving the TAKS
test that is two grades below or give modifications that will be used on
the TAKS test.
