MELODY Information, 2010-2011
MELODY (Music Enrichment Learning On Developing Youth) is excited to be
back for our tenth year at John Gill Elementary teaching students more
music and piano!
WHO:
We’re a group of Stanford students who love music and
sharing it with others, particularly through teaching!
WHAT:
The program is divided into two sections: private lessons and
theory. During private lessons, a tutor will work one-on-one
with your child, helping him/her prepare a piece for the endof-year recital. During theory, designated tutors will go over
the basics of music appreciation: rhythm, notes, melody, etc.
WHEN:
Saturday mornings, 10:15 – 11:30
The program does not run every Saturday since it takes into
account both the needs of the Stanford students and the
schedule of John Gill Elementary
If you are interested in having your son/daughter join Melody,
please join us for an information session this Saturday
(October 9th) at 10:15 at John Gill Elementary. We look
forward to meeting both the parents and the students.
