1. Introduction
This document covers the functional description, specification and deliverables of this
project.
2. Product Overview
The Belkin F5D9630-4 ADSL2+ Modem with Wireless G Plus MIMO Router is an
ADSL modem compatible with ADSL, ADSL2, and ADSL2+ lines for connecting to the
Internet. The modem combines a NAT router for sharing the broadband connection and a
firewall for security. It has a built-in 4 port 10/100 Base-T switch for and networking up
to 4 computers via the LAN ports and an integrated radio to connect up to 32 computers
via the WLAN.
The integrated Wireless G Plus MIMO radio operates on 2.4GHz frequencies, which
conforms to the IEEE 802.11b/g wireless standards. It features MIMO MRC smart
antenna technology in 1x2 (TX/RX) configuration to enhance reception, RangeOVERDRIVE technology to increase range, and Packet-OVERDRIVE technology to
increase throughput between products based on the same technologies.
The Router can be configured through a web-browser interface, with a built-in setup
wizard to guide user through initial setup. The product is designed for the home and small
office and will be available through major retailers and online retailers.
