Dedicated Fleet – FlightSafety Academy owns and operates more than 85 single and multiengine aircraft exclusively for the use of training. Superb Aircraft Maintenance - Our staff of professional aircraft engineers personally maintains our fleet under the Academy’s FAA-Approved Repair Station authorization. Our progressive maintenance schedule results in aircraft inspections every 60 hours instead of the FAA recommended frequency of every 100 hours. Attendance at an Accredited School – FlightSafety Academy is approved by the Federal Aviation Administration; by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for F-1 and M-1 VISA training for international students; also by the Transportation Security Administration; as well as being accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). FlightSafety Academy has many approved foreign programs as authorized by individual civil aviation authorities from around the world. Professional Training – Over our history we have built a unique trust and respect within the aviation industry. Our instructors must successfully pass the Academy’s demanding training as well as frequent standardization flights which assure our students receive consistent training at the highest levels. Training Environment – Our training facility is strategically located in Vero Beach, Florida which offers year around flying conditions allowing our students to focus on completing their training in a timely manner. On-site advanced training devices and a large dedicated training fleet, in non-congested airspace, provide students with maximum training opportunities. Our oncampus housing provides convenient access to training equipment, labs, student library and the flightline. Advanced Training Equipment – The Academy’s training tools include: FRASCA 142 visual flight trainers, a dedicated PCATD training lab, and an exclusive ATC Communications Lab. We often design specific training courses and curricula for airlines and operators based on their specific requirements and are able to incorporate a vast array of training in conjunction with FlightSafety International and it’s over 40 Learning Centers and more than 300 simulators. Emphasis on Academics – All Academy curriculums stress the importance of classroom instruction as well as practical in-flight training. Self Examining Authority – The Academy has been awarded a Self-Examining Authority by the FAA, for many of our FAR Part 141 programs. We also provide the ability to take FAA written exams on site allowing students to receive immediate exam results.
