Mr. Tokcaer has experience in the field of infrastructural and environmental engineering. While assisting lectures for
more than 8 courses in Environmental Engineering Department of METU, he has also been the teaching assistant for
“Treatment Plant Design” course which required the students to prepare wastewater treatment plant designs. The course
also included Project Cycle Management (PCM) and Feasibility Study topics.
As a Junior Environmental Engineer in the “Environmental Heavy-Cost Investment Planning Project” he worked as the
deputy team leader of the air quality management team for the Karabük Air Quality Management Project; including
preliminary assessment of ambient air quality with emission inventory calculations and passive sampling. Mr. Tokcaer
worked in the team for the preparation of the Feasibility Studies of Tokat Wastewater Treatment Plant Project, Nevşehir
Wastewater Treatment Plant Project, Kuşadası Solid Waste Management Project, Çanakkale Solid Waste Management
Project and Dilovası Domestic and Industrial Wastewater Management Project. During this project he has also devel-

oped good communication skills with local government and municipality staff, working in close co-operation with provincial directorates throughout the study.
Mr. Tokcaer has contributed as author to the preparation of the Wastewater Guideline for Tariff Setting in the "Technical Assistance for preparation of the Draft Regulation on Tariff Setting for Wastewater and Solid Waste Services.

project. He also took part as trainer in the Education Programme on Solid Waste and Wastewater Guidelines for Tariff

Emre Tokcaer has also worked as a junior environmental engineer in "Developing the capacity of environmental authorities through the transfer of best practices and training to support effective use of financial resources" project, contributing to Environmental Financing Strategy documents and prioritization studies for Turkey.
Mr Tokcaer has been the project manager on a project to draft Technical Specifications and Terms of Reference documents for a project to implement Nitrate Directive in Turkey. Besides being responsible for the management of the project and he also contributed to the major outputs of the project.
Recently he is working in the project Technical Assistance to Prepare Wastewater Treatment Plant Projects in Turkey as
Regional Leader for Diyarbakır and Siverek project packages. Mr Tokcaer is responsible for co-ordination of both Siverek and Diyarbakır project packages for helping the management of the whole project. He is also contributing to the
outputs of the projects.
