This is an assignment where you may work in partners. Please take it seriously and do some research into the career/job that you are interested in once you finish school. There will be 6 (six) grades for this project. Timeline: Classroom: A Day - Monday, October 5, 2015 B Day – Tuesday, October 6, 2015 Chapter 9 Notes Hand out about the Mock Job Interview Assignment – We will go over the timeline in class. Now is the time to get some references. Due: Practice the interview with your partner Classroom: A Day - Monday, October 19, 2015 B Day – Tuesday, October 20, 2015 Students will practice with their partners and make up any missed work. Also work on their questions. Students will sign up for a day and time for their mock job interviews. Please make sure that both partners will be in class for the day you sign up. The students will interview on Wednesday-Monday, October 21- October 26, 2015. GRADE 5 –The only project grade - The interviews must be a minimum of 5 minutes and no more than 7 minutes. Please see the grading rubric on my website if you want to know how and on what you are being graded. Please bring something quiet to work on while others are interviewing. GRADE 6 - - Due at that time will be a list of their 10 questions for the interview. Both/Each of the interviewer and the interviewee must provide questions. Questions for Job Interview: Each student must provide a list of ten questions, either as an interviewer, or interviewee. Not all of the questions must be asked, and questions not on the list can be asked in the interview. The questions must be typed, sized 12 font, double spaced. Full Heading. It is encouraged that you go ahead and email the questions the day/night before the interview to loyce_lackey@roundrockisd.org. We will be reviewing for the interview in class, but any information you can get from parents, guardians, siblings, friends, etc… could also help you get ready. Dress for the interview must be appropriate for the position, including the interviewer. Slacks, button down shirts, skirts and blouses are acceptable. You may bring the clothes and change at school but it must be done before and after the class period. Borrow the clothes if necessary. Please have your parents sign below acknowledging receipt of assignment requirements for a replacement 100.
