Managing and Recording Dives with Nautilus SAC Under the requirements of the BSAC safe diving practices, we as a club are required to manage and record all diving activities. This not just for training purposes, but as a branch of the BSAC we are required to keep dive logs for a number of years. It’s also very interesting to see at the AGM how we as a diving club had been diving in the previous year. All dives must have a Dive Manager on the side, ready to manage any diving emergency or to check the diver pairs are acceptable. For example, a trainee is not diving with an Ocean Diver. This does not mean the Dive Manager could never dive, it just means they have to wait until another dive manager is out of the water.
