Dear Parents and Caregivers

The Anzac Dawn Parade and service was a very special occasion. Thank you to the children who took part and to the parents who supported. It was nice to see a big turnout. It was an experience to certainly remember. I really enjoyed listening to Roy Reid speak and the many stories he had to tell.

Perhaps we should get him in to school to talk with our children?

I thought our children read out the names clearly. Lest we forget.

Opening of our new playground: Thank you to those of you who came along to support. It was a very relaxed affair but something the children hopefully won’t forget. It was nice to see Todd and have the opportunity to catchup with him.

Friday Anzac Assembly: It was great to have our special guests chat with us all and hand out the badges.

School Fees: Thanks to those who have paid in full, made some sort of contribution or made contact to let us know when you’ll be making a payment. All money goes towards your child’s education. A reminder that the fees cover: swimming, visiting performances, subsidy towards school trips, stationery and incidentals. A reminder, $25 per term thanks.

Clubs: This will occur during the last five weeks of this term. Clubs will be on Thursday afternoons from

1:30-3pm. It involves a variety of learning opportunities for our children to experience, working with members from the community, parents and staff. For example; knitting, baking, scrapbooking, painting, chess, biking, a variety of sports and other cultural activities, etc… If you’d like to be involved in some way, please get in contact with me. We’d love your support.

Headlice: There have been a couple of cases… Please check your child’s hair thanks.

John Parsons Internet and Cyber Safety Visit: John has been to many schools over the years and now it is

Mossburn School’s turn. The timetable is: 10-3 = in the classes with children; 3-4:30 = staff; 5-7pm = parents’ night. John will work with parents outlining what to watch out for and raise awareness. It would be great to see you in attendance – everyone welcome. If you could let me know either way if you’re able to make it or not please, via text, that would be most appreciated thanks. See the notice below for more details.
