Professional Experience:
Currently employed with Cumming Corporation International as Commercial
Manager for Area Development on a Leisure & Entertainment project (Dubai Parks)in
Dubai. Cumming Corporation has recently set up a new business entity offering
Program& Project Management, Cost Management & Estimating services. One of
Cumming’s major Client’s in the region is Meraas Development who is embarking on
an ambitious development program targeting the Leisure & Tourism market.
I have over 16 years of commercial experience (Pre and Post-Contract) in a broad
range of commercial, procurement and contractual activities. I have worked on a
variety of projects encompassing the full range of project scope and scale, in a
market with a very high volume of pricing and contract enquiries. I have also played
a lead role in the management of multi-billion-dollar landmark projects for top notch
Clients over the past decade in Dubai and GCC which includes roads, infrastructure
and commercial developments such as Burj Khalifa Area Development/external
landscape, Dubai Mall Area Development/external landscape, Palm Island
infrastructure landscape/Area Development, Dubai Sports City infrastructure
landscape, Mall of the Emirates external landscape, Mirdif City Centre external
landscape, Hyatt Hotels external and internal landscape, Zabeel Park, Abu Dhabi
Airport internal and external landscape, Qatar Aerospace City internal and external
landscape, Muscat International Airport and other master planned communities.
During my 10 years with Cracknell I have been responsible for leading the commercial
and contract team for all the pre-contract administration which includes pre-contract
procurement, preparation of Fee proposals, business development strategies,
contract management and contract review for all our major projects and Clients.
During this time I worked on developing and implementing successful bid strategies
and pricing methods, and for leading the team in reviewing all outgoing bids.
I have developed a key understanding of contractual and commercial issues within
the construction industry, working on a very broad range of business proposals,
including infrastructure, marine, urban design and planning projects. I have also been
responsible for developing and setting up multidisciplinary proposals with Cracknell
positioned as the lead consultant. This process has provided me with a detailed
contractual understanding and an ability to develop watertight strategies for large
scale proposals.
I have been instrumental with the commercial team in developing a benchmark for
high quality and thorough proposals, prequalification and business development
documents that have contributed to the success of many bids and ultimately to the
success of the company.

I lead a team of 15 commercial staff within the Business Acquisition

Procurement Departments. Taking primary responsibility for the pricing
and contract management of the Company including the head office
in Dubai and branch offices in London, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Jeddah and
Oman.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor Projected Tendering/Pre-qualification work load and identify
