 Learn about Daily life (e.g. clothing, food) in Ancient Rome
Thursday, October 6:
1) Begin Stage 2: In Villa
2) Sentences, pp 20-23
3) Use of accusative case
HW: Translate first paragraph of mercator (p. 24)
Friday, October 7:
1) Go over translation of first paragraph of “Mercator” (p. 24)
2) Vocabulary and derivatives (pp. 20-24)
3) mercator: role-playing
HW: Create a mini-poster of a Latin word and three English
derivatives, an illustration for each derivative.
Thursday, October 13:
1) Present mini-posters
2) Practicing the Language (p. 27)
HW: Read “Daily Life” on pp.30-31, be prepared to answer
questions
Friday, October 14:
1) Vocabulary and derivatives, vocab. (page 25)
2) Read and translate “in triclinio” (p. 25)
3) Role-play the story
HW: Finish translation of “in triclinio” and prepare for parva
probabtio (p. 24) on Monday.

Stage 2-MAGNA PROBATIO
Homework:
When your homework is to go over new vocabulary you should either write the Latin word and
the English definition in your notebook or you should make flashcards for yourself.
You should also take a few minutes each night to review your vocabulary. You can have your
parents or a sibling help quiz you.
Test:
Your stage 2 test (magna probatio) will consist of: (make changes!!!)
