Scope
The scope of work of a Pile Driving and Foundation Engineering Contractor shall include and be limited to the driving of piling including sheet piling and the construction, formation and excavation for foundations, the placing of reinforcing steel therein, and all concrete work necessary and incidental thereto in accordance with the plans and specifications therefore, and in compliance with the building code and other applicable codes and regulations. As regulated under Florida Statute, a person who has passed a competency examination as a Pile Driving and Foundation Engineering Contractor may perform these or related tasks or may supervise persons in his employ in the execution of these tasks.
Examination Content Outline
The Pile Driving and Foundation Engineering Contractor examination is based on trade-specific information pertaining to materials, tools, equipment, practices, terminology, and relevant laws. The examination is a two
(2) hour, open book exam that consists of 50 questions.
