From downtown using The Jing Cheng Expressway:
Take the Jing Cheng Expressway (京承高速) towards 承德.
Take exit #13 off the Jing Cheng Expressway. It is called Bei Tai Lu
(北台路). (Towards Kuan Gou宽沟and Qiao Zi 桥梓)
Once paying and going through the toll-booth (20rmb), continue to
drive through 3 traffic lights towards Kuan Gou. From the toll booth
to 3rd set of lights it is approx. 4.1 km. At that third set of lights, take
a left and head towards Changping.
Go straight until you see the following sign and a Rainbow

Turn right and go under the Rainbow.
Drive straight until you see the below sign that says Mutianyu 慕田
峪) in brown in Chinese.

Turn right at the stop light just after the
Continue straight until you come to this fork in the road, take a left
towards Mutianyu.
You will drive past Ren Ji Golf Hills
About 4.2 km from the turn off for Ren Ji Golf Hills, you will come to
an obvious T-junction.
At the T-junction, turn left towards
Mutianyu. Go up the hill about 100 meters and then you must
merge into the main road. There is a sign that says Mutianyu 12km.
Keep winding up the mountain until you see the aqueduct.
Right
under the aqueduct and before the roundabout you will see Home
of The Great Wall on the right hand side of the street. Please come
up the hill. It is very steep, but it is perfectly safe! See you at
