Diseases of the Excretory System
Task: You will create a Power Point explaining the causes, symptoms and treatments of
one disease of the excretory system.
Groups: You may work in a group of two or three people
Criteria: You must include the following information concerning your chosen disease:
-What organ(s) it effects
-How it impairs the normal function of the excretory system (compare and
contrast “healthy” vs “unhealthy”)
-What are the symptoms?
-How do doctors test for this disease?
-What is the treatment (type, length, fullness of recovery, potential complications)
-How is the disease contracted and how can it be avoided?
-A title slide
-At least 3 pictures
-The last slide should be your reference list including all the websites you used
Length: Your Power Point should be a minimum of 8 slides
Marking: Your project will be marked on the above listed criteria, including the depth to
which you describe each element and the appropriateness of the language and
terminology used (Sec 3). Spelling and grammar count as well as overall presentation.
