New faculty headed to campus
College of Business Administration Anthony F. Chelte was hired as dean
of the College of Business Administration and professor of
management. He received his B.A. in sociology from Massachusetts
College of Liberal Arts, his M.A. in sociology from Western Washington
University, and his Ph.D. in sociology from the University of Massachusetts
Amherst. He was previously the chair and professor of management at Western
New England College, and also coordinator of continuous
improvement. Karla R. Landours, who received her B.B.A. in Business
Computer Information Systems and her M.B.A in business administration from
MSU, was hired as an instructor in BCIS. Qian Li has a B.S. in finance
from Renmin University. She was hired as an assistant professor in economics
and finance.  Adam Yung-Chou Lei was hired as an assistant professor of
finance and has a B.B.A. in industrial management from National Cheng Kung
University, an M.B.A. from National Chung Cheng University and an M.S. and
Ph.D. in finance from Louisiana State University. Gordon T. Ellen West
College of Education Edward K. Schultz, who received both his M.Ed. in
Special Education and his B.S. in Special Education/Kinesiology at Midwestern
State University, was hired as an instructor in counseling and special education.
He is also currently working on his Ph.D. at the University of North
Texas. Shelby Waller was hired as an instructor in education. She
received her M.Ed. in education leadership from Midwestern State University and
her B.S. in secondary education-English emphasis from Texas Tech University.
 Lamar D. Fain College of Fine Arts Catherine Prose, assistant
professor of art and administrator of gallery program, received her B.A. in art
from Cameron University and an M.F.A. in art from Texas Tech University. She
comes to us from the Buddy Holly Center in Lubbock, Texas. College of
Health and Sciences and Human Services Anita J. Coyle serves as an
assistant professor of nursing. She received her B.S. in nursing, an M.S.N.
in nursing-community health, and a Ph.D. in health studies from Texas Woman’s
University.  Kathleen Roberts, hired as an assistant professor of nursing,
has a B.S. in nursing from George Mason University in Virginia and an M.S. in
nursing from the University of Maryland at Baltimore. She was previously the
chief nurse at Sheppard AFB for two years. Janie Stewart, who received
her B.S. in nursing from The University of Texas and her M.S. in nursing from UT
at Arlington, was hired as an assistant professor of nursing. She was
previously the Family Advocacy Nurse at Sheppard AFB.  Michelle R.
Villegas has a B.S.N. in nursing from Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia
and an M.S.N. in nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is
now an assistant professor of nursing at MSU. Anne Marie Williamson was

a certified nurse practitioner at United Regional Health Care System for six
years. She is currently an assistant professor of nursing at

respiratory care. He received both his A.A.S. in respiratory therapy and

from the University of Texas at Arlington and her M.Ed. in physical education

and an assistant athletic trainer.  Frank Wyatt was hired as an associate
professor and chair of the kinesiology department. He received his B.S. in
education from North Texas State University, his M.A. in physical education from
San Francisco State University, and an Ed.D. in kinesiology from the University
of Northern Colorado. He was previously assistant professor in the
department of health and exercise sciences at Louisiana Tech University for two
years. Rodney Erakovich Sr. was an adjunct professor at Upper Iowa
University and the University of Texas at Arlington and is currently assistant
professor of health and public administration at MSU. He received his B.S.
in professional aeronautics and M.B.A. from Embry Riddle Aeronautical
University, and his Ph.D. in public and urban administration from the University of
Texas at Arlington. College of Liberal Arts Laura Spiller received her
B.A. in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin and an M.A. and Ph.D.
in clinical psychology from the University of Houston. She has previously worked
as a licensed psychologist and is now an assistant professor of psychology at
MSU. College of Math and Sciences Roy C. Vogtsberger was
department head and assistant professor of the department of biology at
Hardin-Simmons University and is currently an assistant professor of biology at
MSU. He received his B.S. and M.S. in biology from Midwestern State
University and a Ph.D. in entomology from Texas A&M
University. John M. Seeley, who received a B.S. and M.S. in geology from
Texas A&M University at Kingsville and a Ph.D. in geological sciences from
University of Texas at El Paso, was hired as an assistant professor of
geology. Jianguo Shao was hired as an assistant professor of chemistry.
He received a B.S. and an M.S. in chemistry from Nanjing University and a Ph.D.
in chemistry from the University of Houston. He previously worked at the
University of Houston as a research associate. Guy Bernard was an
assistant professor at South Dakota State University for two years, and is
currently an assistant professor of mathematics at MSU. He received his
bachelor in engineering from Ecole Polytechnique, an M.S. in mathematics from
the University of British Columbia, an M.A.Sc. in applied mathematics from Ecole
Polytechnique, and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of
