Internship Projects:
1) Professional Learning Community Development
a. Leading and managing PLC teams
b. Bring focus to PLC teams - instructional strategies and curricular alignment
c. Use data with teams to change/drive instruction
d. Lead development of common formative assessments and the use of formative
data collected
e. Evaluate and change instructional and intervention processes and practices
f. Develop the culture of PLC – going deeper – being vs. doing PLC
g. RTI development – expanding from literacy to math. Create strong, common core
and develop systematic process of intervention. Develop intervention resources.
h. Developing RTI for behavior - PBIS – Common core for behavior and develop
intervention resources.
2) Building Leadership Teams
a. By second semester take leadership role on Building Leadership Team
b. Assume responsibility for key project(s) that is an outcome of BLT
c. Lead a change project
3) Teacher Evaluation System
a. Conducting instructional rounds with all staff
b. Leading IR teams
c. Training for staff on the process and organization/schedule for IR
d. Evaluation of selected staff – teachers, paraprofessional and clerical
e. Induction and mentoring new teachers – includes observations and feedback
f. Training and setting stage for new teacher evaluation system starting in 2014
4) Special populations
a. Admin designee on Intervention teams and IEPs where appropriate
b. Integrate and align RTI processes with special education process
c. Establish use of a problem-solving model
