Instructions for Completing the Outside Study Programme Application Form
When to use this form
This form is to be completed by staff applying for Outside Study Programme (OSP) in accordance with
the Staff Development Procedure: Outside Study Programme.
How to complete this form
Part 1 - staff application details are to be completed by the staff member.
Part 2 – travel grant application details are to be completed by the staff member.
Part 3 – details of other methods of covering costs are to be completed by the staff member.
Part 4 - is to be completed by the head of unit.

Proposed Leave Dates
Please indicate proposed leave dates. Individual staff members are responsible for managing their own annual
leave balance (refer 5.1 of the Staff Development Procedure – Outside Study Programme). If you have an excess
of long service leave or annual leave you are encouraged to consider incorporating it in your plans. Please add

The travel grant is a faculty contribution towards a research trip and applicants will need to supplement the
