Breakfast with Reformers & Thinkers
100 points
You will have class time to work on this project on:____________
POSTER
Create a poster (or even a Powerpoint or Prezi) that represents your reformer or thinker. The poster should
include but is not limited to the following criteria:
 Name of reformer
 Picture
 Birth/ death dates
 A quote from the person that best sums up his/her philosophy
 A symbolic representation of the individual. How could this person’s contributions be
summed up in a simple image?
 At least three specific contributions he/she made to intellectual and reform
movements of the era. What impact did your person have on U.S. history and/or
culture (you will need to do additional research)?
 A “fun fact” about your person that most people would not know (some detail
beyond what you’d read in the textbook).
Your high-quality poster should be visually appealing, with attention paid to formatting and layout. Details
should be easy to find and read.

You will be asked to present your poster to the class. You will present alongside reformers from the sameor similar-movement. Full points will be given to presenters who do a great job teaching the class about
your reformer-help us remember your person!
