2. Brief Introduction of Process and Equipments
2.1 Process Introduction
2.1.1 Crushing & milling Section
Gypsum ores are put into the hopper from stock ground by the forklift driver, then
they are crushed into small size less than 20mm by the crusher, and then elevated
into the mill by elevator to be milled into qualified raw gypsum powder (that is
dehydrate gypsum).
Hammer Crusher:
Its crushing ratio is : below 350mm feeding, 20mm discharging, hourly output is
13 tons.
Bucket Elevator:
We use the best one in China: NE series Plate Chain Type Elevator, which has
advantages of large conveying amount, low energy consumption, good sealing,
reliable running performance and etc., it is an advanced elevating equipment in
China.
Raymond Mill:
This production line uses a vertical mill with high energy-efficient, this kind of mill
has following features:
Ш High grinding efficiency. The vertical mill has low energy consumption and the
power consumption of its milling system is only 20-30% of ball mill system.
Ш Good drying ability. The vertical mill convey materials by gas, so the
materials have much water can be complete dried by controlling the inlet gas
temperature. This mill can dry the materials with 12-15% water.
Ш Can grind big size materials, usually 40100mm. So if it is a
big-and-middle-sized vertical mill, secondary crushing process can be
omitted.
Ш Steady chemical composition and uniform size grade. Comparing with 15-20
minutes materials stop time of ball mill system, the materials stop time for vertical
mill is only 2-3 minutes, so its chemical composition can be quickly tested and
corrected which is good for uniform.
Ш Simple process flow, small occupied area. There is a separator in this mill, no
need powder selector and elevator, and the gas with dust is direct collected to
the bag type dust collector or the static dust collector, so it has simple process
flow, compact layout, and its construction area is 70% of ball mill system and the
construction space is 50-60% of ball mill system.
Ш Low noise, dusts and clean operating environment. The noise is about 20-50
db because of indirect touch between mill roll and millstone. In

addition, the vertical mill is completely sealed and its system subpressure operates, so the workshop is clean, has less dust.
Low metal wear, high-usage. It has low metal wear because that in the process
of running, there is no metal direct contact with this mill. The abrasiveness of unit
product is general 5-10 g/ton. If the material is medium hardness cement, the life
of the roll sheath and lining board will be about 6000 to 8000 hours.
Economical
2.1.2 Calcining Section
The dehydrate gypsum after being milled will be lifted to calciner by elevator, the
flue for this calciner is thermal oil and it uses low temperature and slow calcining way,
which can make products have steady quality.
Gypsum calciner:
It adopts my company ’ s core technology: Boiling Kiln especially for gypsum.
This equipment has the following working principles and characteristics:
Gypsum Boiling Kiln is vividly named as
“ Flow bed” for its foaming Bed Layer.
Its burning part is a vertical box container, with a Gas-distributing Plate in the bottom
to avoid the leaking out gypsum powder when stopping work and to make air flow
come into Bed Layer symmetrically. Above the upper interface of Bed Layer, there is
a material-feeding machine for supplying materials continuously; in the body of the
kiln of its upper interface, there is a hole for discharging materials. In Bed Layers,
there are so many heating pipes, in which the heating medium is saturated steam or
thermal oil, sending heat by heating pipes to the outside flow gypsum powder to
make powder dehydrate and decompose. Above the calcination part, there is a Static
Dust Catcher for collecting dust and then return to Fluidized Bed automatically. The
rejected gas is discharged by Gas-discharging Machine. When it works in normal, the
air from the bottom of Boiling Kiln comes into Fluidized Bed by Gas-distributing Plate
(not need so much air, only makes the Bed Layer flow), at this time, the heating pipes
submerged in Fluidized Bed send much caloric to materials to make the Dehydrate
Gypsum powder reach the temperature for dehydration, after reach the temperature,
the Dehydrate Gypsum dehydrates crystal water into steam, then the steam mixing
with the gas from the bottom of kiln moves upward by Bed Layer, the flow of the
whole process comes true according the steam because the quantity of steam is
much more than the quantity of air; materials
’
temperature and components of
every part in the whole Fluidized Bed is nearly consistent because of the drastic
weltering and mixing of powdery materials. Once the raw gypsum powder comes into

Bed Layer, it will instantly mix with many hot powdery materials symmetrically and be
dehydrated and decomposed quickly. In order to avoid powdery materials being
discharged so early, we design a partition board in the kiln to divide the Flow Bed into
two parts: the large part and the small part, their bottom are connected. The raw
gypsum powder first comes into the large part, in which dehydrates a majority of
crystal water, then comes into the small part by the bottom channel and finished the
process of dehydration, and then flow out the kiln automatically.
It has the following characteristics: Small but exquisite equipments, great
production capacity; Simple structure, un-damageable; Compact equipments, needs
little soil area; Low energy consumption; Convenient operation, easy control; Fine
quality, ideal phase composition of Gypsum of Paris and steady physical capability;
Low investment of foundation construction and low operation expenses; Must adopts
secondary heat source.
2.1.3 Finished products packing & storing section
The gypsum powder after being calcined will be sent to silo to store by elevator, there
is a packing machine below this silo, to store powder by 30kg bag.
2.2 Electric Control System
2.2.1 Power Supply
The Buyer shall supply power to designated site according to the Seller’ s instruction.
2.2.2 Power Distribution in Workshop
The power is normally supplied with busbar or power cable. The power for control
cabinet is supplied by the workshop power distribution cabinet or busbar directly from
the LV switch cabinet of the substation. Power supply devices will be equipped in

appropriate position, which supply temporary power for maintenance use. (supplied by
the Buyer)
2.2.3 Main Production Control
2.2.3.1 Design principle and design proposal
In order to meet modern requirements for gypsum powder production line process, to
ensure reliable running process equipments, steady process parameters, products
quality and to improve production line operating ratio, so this project we adopt the
advanced and reliable DCS control system to intensively oversee and operate and
dispersedly control production line. We use open communication agreement, so our
plant Management Information System (MIS) can be easily connected to DCS

system, so the administrator can know actual production status at any time.
2.2.3.2 General description for DCS system
We use separated DCS system for gypsum powder production line and gypsum
block production line. Its main functions are:
a. have the process flow drawing which displays dynamic equipments state and
process parameters;
b. display process equipments units, operating panels for single machines and the
running state for equipments;
c. display operating panel of process parameters and the grouping of process
parameters;
d. promptly display process parameters and its trend curve;
e. detailed display loop and parameters adjustment;
f.
alarm display for process state;
g. when the production line gives an alarm, it can display and record relevant
parameters, display treatment methods, which can get rid of malfunction in time;
h. display control system’ s state.
2.2.3.3 Application software
The application software for control system is an important software for controlling
site, operation station and manage computer. It should be developed and debugged
based on well known production line process characteristic, equipments
characteristic and control system’ s software and hardware. 2.2.4 Electrical

In order to make sure running time of system, we use international famous
electrics, Simens PLC and Mitsubishi frequency convertor, Schneider low voltage
electrics, and uses China CHNT cabinets.

4. Quotation
4.1 Price
The EXW price for above equipments will be USD 621 525, not include cost for raw
material silo and finish product silo and lab equipments, also not include the cost for
supervise on installation.
4.2 Packing
Packing will be suitable to safe sea transportation.
4.3 Payment items
Type of Payment: T/T
30% of the total contract value is to be paid within 7 days after signing contract;
60% of the total contract value will be paid when picking up the goods;
10% of the total contract value is to be paid after installation and commission and
having met output index and quality index after 16 hours check;
4.4 Price validity
Within 2 months since the day of quotation.
4.5 Delivery
3 months after receipt the 30% advanced payment from the Buyer.
4.6 Note
4.6.1 The Buyer is responsible for the supply of power and water and sending them to
the using points the Seller supplied.

4.6.2 In the period of detailed design, this quotation’ s technical plan can be adjusted
according to the local conditions. The final confirmed design drawings should meet
all technical information requirements.
4.6.3 Quality guarantee: The Seller shall guarantee that goods is completely brandnew and shall conform to the technical specification as stipulated. The mechanical
guarantee of the contract equipment is 12 months after the acceptance date, or 18
months from the date of picking up goods in case the commissioning cannot be
finished due to Buyer
’ s fault. During the Guarantee period, if the accessory
(ies) of equipment(s) is/are damaged, the Seller will replace or repair.
