DENVER (April 25, 2007) – Frontier Airlines (NASDAQ: FRNT) today announced it will launch non-stop service between its Denver International Airport (DEN) hub and Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport (BTR).
The new service will connect travelers from the West to Southern beauty, Creole culture and Cajun cuisine in the heart of Louisiana’s Plantation Country, and will enable Red Stick travelers to reach the
Western U.S., Mexico and Canada. Frontier will be the only low-cost carrier serving Baton Rouge, and the first new airline service to Louisiana’s capital city in 21 years.
The new service between Baton Rouge and Denver will offer convenient connections to Frontier cities throughout the western U.S.; to Mexican destination cities including Cabo San Lucas (SJD),
Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo (ZIH), Mazatlan (MZT), and Puerto Vallarta (PVR), and to Calgary and Vancouver,
Canada.
"The City of Baton Rouge and the Parish of East Baton Rouge stands to gain a great deal from the addition of Frontier's new service into and out of Baton Rouge. With two daily round trip non-stop flights coming through the airport each day, Frontier's presence will help to boost the economy at the airport and across our region," said Mayor-Presi dent Melvin L. “Kip” Holden. “Frontier Airlines will provide even greater links for business and leisure travelers heading to and from the western states, and this kind of access is one of many reasons national rankings show Baton Rouge moving ahead of other cities in the listings of best cities to do business. We welcome Frontier to our city for what I believe will be a great relationship.”
Baton Rouge is one of the largest cities on the Mississippi River and is Louisiana’s second most populous city with more then 600,000 residents. It provides a gateway to the heart of southeastern Louisiana’s
Cajun County. The city’s unique cultural influences can be seen in historical attractions including plantations along River Road, heard in the sound of Zydeco music, and tasted in Cajun cuisine favorites including crawfish, jambalaya and gumbo.
“We recognized long ago that Frontier and its Denver hub are a perfect fit for our passengers originating in Baton Rouge and that is why we actively worked to bring Frontier to the Baton Rouge Metropolitan
Airport for more than three years,” stated Anthony J. Marino, Director of Aviation - Baton Rouge
Metropolitan Airport. “As the fifth major airline and the first low-cost carrier to serve the Baton Rouge area,
Frontier's entrance greatly expands our choices and conveniences when selecting destinations to the

West, Canada and Mexico and adds a new level of competition that will help keep fares low for our travelers. Today marks a new chapter not only for our community but for all of south Louisiana."
