Lee Rowe (Bubba–Pop)

Lee Rowe (Bubba-Pop) was called into eternal rest on

March 12, 2009.

Mr. Rowe was the third child born to Mr. Hallie and Laura Mae

Horton Powe Kimble-Rowe on January 25, 1932 in St. Mary’s

Colony, Bastrop County Texas. Both parents; one daughter

Marilyn JoAnn Williams; one son Jimmy Lee Rowe; one sister

Hazel M. Rowe; brothers Truman Rowe and Ruben Rowe preceded him in death.

Lee attended grade school in St. Mary Colony. He professed

Christ as his Saviour at an early age. He became a member of old Main East Austin Baptist Church which later became Mt.

Sinai Baptist Church; Austin, Texas. He served there until his health failed.

He was a kind and gentle person. He will be missed, greatly missed by family and friends.

He was employed at Calcasieu Lumber Company for fifteen years and later owned his own building – Lee Rowe Foaming

Contractor.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Emma Wilson Rowe; sons

Jeffery and Lee Haze Rowe, Jr., grandchildren: LaRon Rowe,

Nicole Williams, Brittney and Brandie Burton; great grandchildren, Tyler and Kristney Washington and Leah Burton.

Two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Freeman (Alvester), Mrs. Lillian

McCoullough (Willie), two sister-in-laws, Mrs. Andra Mae

Bolden of Austin, Texas and Mrs. Minnie Lee Minor of San

Antonio, Texas. One brother-in-law, Mr. James Wilson of

Austin, Texas and a host of relatives and friends.
