NOTE: EACH BGS DEGREE MUST INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

1.

Satisfy all the requirements for each of three minors as defined by the departments offering those minors with grades of “C” or better.

2.

At least 30 hours of courses at the 300-level or above

3.

At least 30 hours of courses taken in residence (UM Oxford, Booneville, Desoto, Grenada, Tupelo)

4.

At least 120 hours total with each course satisfying only one degree requirement (core or minor or elective), with a cumulative resident and overall GPA of at least 2.0.

A maximum of 60 hours of community college credit may be applied toward a

Bachelor of General Studies degree at The University of Mississippi.
