ANNOUNCEMENT

Appointment of channel management advisors in

State bank of hyderabad

Applications are invited from eligible retired officers of SBH / SBI / Other

Associate Banks / P ublic Sector Banks / RRB’s sponsored by SBI or other

Associate Bank’s for appointment as Channel Management Advisors (CMA’s) in

State Bank of Hyderabad on contract basis for a minimum period of 1 year.

LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION IS 07.01.2013

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

Officers who have retired from their Bank’s service on attaining superannuation as MMGS-II or MMGS-III or SMGS-IV or SMGS-V are eligible. Officers voluntarily retired, retired under VRS or released under

Exit Option Scheme or who have left the Bank otherwise before superannuation are not eligible .

Age not above 62 years as on 01.01.2013.

The integrity of the official should not have been doubtful during his / her service in the Bank.

No punishment or penalty should have been inflicted on applicant during five years of his / her service in the Bank preceding to his / her retirement.

Cases of CBI or other Law Enforcement agencies should not be pending against the applicant.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants should be physically fit to carry out the duties of CMAs, which includes continuous visits to villages.

Applicants should be able to read, write and speak local language of the area where he / she is considered for appointment. He/ She should also proficient with the computerized working and well versed in receiving and sending e-mails.

Applicant should be resident of a town / village which is within the commutable distance (within 10 Kilometers) from the villages to be monitored / area of operation.

The eligible candidates would be required to apply on prescribed application format available on Bank’s website www.sbhyd.com

. The application should be sent in an envelope marked in "CMA ’s – 2013 in SBH” to the following address.

Department, Head Office, Hyderabad - 500 001 ” so as to reach on or before

07.01.2013.

SELECTION PROCEDURE :

The Selection is based on performance in the interview. Minimum qualifying marks will be 50% (50 out of 100 marks).

The monthly fixed remuneration & annual variable pay would be as under:

The Variable Pay shall be subject to, assigned nature of work. Variable pay shall be permitted if job is target related.

Besides the above remuneration, the Channel Management Advisor’s would also be eligible for the reimbursement of the following :-

Mobile phone bill charges of Rs.500/- per month.

Conveyance charges of Rs.2,000/- per month for their regular visits to villages in their coverage area.

AC-2 tier rail fare by shortest route or by public transport if asked to travel outside their headquarters.

Halting Allowances on deputation to places outside headquarters @

Rs.500/- per diem for Metro / Urban centres, Rs.350/- per diem for Semi

Urban Centres @ Rs.250/- per diem for Rural centres.

SERVICE CONDITIONS

The CMAs will be appointed on a contract basis for a period of one year.

They will not be entrusted with any financial / administrative powers.

The contract of services may be renewed for a further period of two / three years or up to the age of 65 years age, whichever is earlier.

The renewal of contract shall be subject to continued good performance and physical fitness of the CMA ’s.

Performance of CMA ’s will be reviewed every 3 months (at quarterly intervals i.e March, June, September and December).

The Bank may decide to terminate the contract of service if the performance of a CMA is not found satisfactory.

The Bank may at its sole discretion terminate the contractual appointment by giving one month's notice or one month's gross emoluments in lieu thereof to a CMA at any time during the contract of service.

CMA ’s shall stay within / nearest to the villages in the Mandal allotted to them.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF CHANNEL MANAGEMENT ADVISORS

(CMAs) :

CMAs should coordinate, advise, aid and assist the Bank’s serving officials. He would be intermediary between the Bank and authorized business correspondents of the Bank, with no financial or administrative powers. He would provide feedback on the functions of the Business Correspondent to the

Bank. The CMAs will perform the following functions.

1. Helping in identifying suitable Business Correspondent

’s in their area of operation, especially in areas with limited branch presence and communicating the same to section committees.

2. Assist in opening of SB ,Current, No frill accounts and term deposits to be sourced, the balance maintained in the accounts sourced by the Business

Correspondent the number, value and type of loans sourced and the number of insurance policies sold, number of mutual funds sold etc.

3. Communicating targets to the Business Correspondent ’s and report on their performance on a regular basis by conducting surprise visits, checking written records at least once in a month and conducting joint sales visits, etc and submit reports on the same to the DGM(FI), Regional Head at regular intervals.

4. If any irregularity / complaint is observed / received the matter shall be reported to the DGM (FI) / Regional office immediately.

5. Coordinating with DGM (FI) / R.O for calculation and payment of commissions at pre-determined rates.

6. Supporting the Business Correspondent

’s to source high value business across all products running promotional programme including liability products.

7. Facilitating, Coordinating and monitoring of business of EBT beneficiaries.

8. Head quarters of the CMA ’s shall be within / nearest to the villages allotted to them.

9. CMAs will provide support and guidance to the Business Correspondent ‘s working in their area of Operation, to help achieve their targets and also provide necessary feedback to the branches and Controllers about their performance.

10. Have close liaison with District Administration and attend meeting with district functionaries relating to FI project.

11. Reconcile account with Govt. Department and Business Correspondent

12. Provide necessary MIS to GOI / Financial Inclusion Dept.

13. Supervise functioning of Business Correspondent ’s and timely payments of

SSP and NREGS.

14. Assist link branches in claiming commission from State Government and from

RBI wherever necessary.

15. CMA ’s should certify at periodical intervals viz., fortnightly / monthly basis.

a) No. of smart cards issued by the vendor.

b) Scrutinize all the accounting process under taken by payments made by the

Business Correspondent

’s / CSP’s.

c) Payments made by the Business Correspondent ’s / CSP’s.

d) Ensure that proper accounting be available at any point of time at POS /

Business Correspondent ’s / Vendor.

e) Reconcile actual smart cards issued / disbursements made with the Bank

Account .

f) To ensure timely submission of reports / statements to various authorities

and submission of statement of accounts to the Govt. for reimbursement of

commission receivable from the Government Department.

g) To follow up with the Government Department, for early reimbursement for

commission and ensure payment of commission to the vendors / Business

Correspondent.

16. Any other function which is decided by the Bank in the light of developments and achievements of State Government / Bank.
