The following is a list of the stage quizzes and the one test you will have in Latin II during the fall
semester. The dates could change for various reasons, but not by more than a day or two. I hope
by having this list from the beginning you will be able to prepare yourself better and stay on top of
the work you need to do. As you know, there will also be numerous daily grades, which will come
in between the quizzes. I will give you a detailed outline of each quiz as we approach it. Please
refer to this schedule often, especially if you are absent. Remember that you are responsible for
completing these assignments in a timely fashion. Please see me about problems or questions.
August:
During our review of Latin I, we will have a quiz everyday from 8/25 - 9/21. Details
are on the reverse of this sheet.
September:
W, 21st: Interim for first marking period
Th, 29th: Stage 13 Culture, “Roman Britain”
October:
T, 11th: Last day to ask for Extra Credit for the First Nine Weeks
T, 18th: Stage 13
Th, 20th: Last day to turn in Extra Credit for the First Nine Weeks
M, 24th: Stage 13 Culture, “C. SALVIUS LIBERALIS”
T, 25th: End of the First Nine Weeks
November:
Th, 10th: Stage 14
F, 18th: Stage 14 Culture
W, 30th: Interim for second marking period
December:
W, 7th: Stage 15
Th, 15th: Stage 15 Culture
January:
M, 2nd: Last day to ask for Extra Credit for the Second Nine Weeks

Schedule for the review of Latin I
Day 1 / T,8/23: Course intro and review of noun forms
Day 2 / Th, 8/25: Vocabulary Check (Stages 1-3) and case functions
Day 3 / M, 8/29: Noun quiz and start review of regular verbs
Day 4 / W, 8/31: Vocabulary Check (Stages 4-6) and continue verbs
Day 5 / F, 9/2: Regular verb quiz
Day 6 / W, 9/7: Vocabulary Check (Stages 7&8) and review irregular verbs
Day 7 / F, 9/9: Irregular verb quiz and start on adjectives
Day 8 / T, 9/13: Vocabulary Check (Stages 9&10) and continue adjectives
Day 9 / Th, 9/15: Adjective quiz and review pronouns; “TREMORES” assignment
Day 10 / M, 9/19: Vocabulary Check (Stages 11&12) and Interrogatives
Day 11 / W, 9/21: Unit 1 SCRIPTA quiz and start Stage 13
Day 12 / F, 9/23: “TREMORES” assignment due and continue new material
I will not quiz you on any cultural or story content in this review. I hope you remember some of
what you learned from Latin I in these areas, but there is not time to review and test. I strongly
recommend that you do read as many of the stories from the Unit I book as you can…that is
excellent practice. Reading and translation will become increasingly important as you move
through Latin II.
