John is investigating other opportunities, such as the Michigan Virtual Univ (incl.
the Auto Manf. Ed. Training Consortium)., other university course offerings (UofM &
MSU, WSU, GVSU, MTU, etc.), and the Greenfield Coalition
Laboratories:
MFE 220: John conducted eight laboratory projects/exercises this semester,
including machining (CNC) of two parts. John made use of the MTEC
center in BC (RMTC)

MCC has new Hass CNC machines: Dave pursuing use of for MFE class
We will work with MCC adv. Comm.. to identify dual use equip.

John received an NSF grant for a tribometer, located at Parkview
(first piece of equipment that is assigned to MFE/MRC), $250k
John moved equipment, nanocut, from UNCC to Parkview, $250k
John acquired dyno and data acquisition for tool force measurement

Shared WMU courses: no courses were shared between campuses this spring semester
MFE 360 was not broadcast to BC as planned due to low (no) enrollment in BC.
ECE 312 and MFE 430 not offered in BC as the prerequisites were cancelled in
fall 2004
