Some courses have Priorities or Restrictions that may affect your ability to add a course. See below for
examples from the online Timetable.
I have the pre-requisites for a course but can’t add it because of the
Constraints. When will I be able to add a course that has a constraint?
If Priority for adding a course has not been designated for a degree or module that you are registered in,
you will have your first opportunity to try adding the course when constraints are lifted on July 26.
Please note that some courses may be full by that time.

Can I add a course that is designated for a degree or module that I am
not in?
Restrictions are put in place due to enrollment numbers within the courses and the importance of
allowing students who need a course for their degree and/or module to be able to take it before
graduation. Sometimes courses are restricted to students in certain modules and sometimes, there are
also restrictions as to which year students must be in. You will not be able to take the course if you do
not meet the Restriction specifications.
Example of a Restriction on a course:
BIOLOGY 4243G - POLITICAL BIOLOGY– OLOGY 4243G - POLITICAL BIOLOGY
