Students if possible should complete and submit all responses to the assessments digitally on
the electronic Risk Management Assessment Booklet (‘soft copy’) provided. Students can
copy this Microsoft Word file from the (DFS2) CD-ROM and:
1.
Save a copy of the Risk Management Assessment Booklet to your computer.
2.
Change the file name to your Student Number provided by Investment Banking
Institute, for example, ‘DFS2 SMITH001JAN2008 Version 1”.
3.
Deliver any re-submissions (if required) with changes with different file name and
version number, for example the second submission should be
‘DFS2 SMITH001JAN2008 Version 2’.
4.
Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Students select their answer for each Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) by placing
the cursor over your selection and simply clicking on the box chosen

5.
Case Study and Role Play (RP)
All Students must, after completing all the Multiple Choice Questions in Module 15, deliver the Risk Management Role Play Assessment (Module 6 – Activity 4
Presenting a Statement of Advice).
Please use our Guidelines contained in the Course Materials as a framework for the
Presentation. The Role Play Guidelines requires the student to assume the role of a
financial advisor. Presenting a Statement of Advice (SoA) to a client played by
another individual and/or assessor.
Role Play (Workshop Students)
Risk Management Role Play Assessment (Module 6 Activity 4), requires face to
face workshop Students to deliver the Role Play to an Investment Banking Institute
assessor at IBI training session or via webcam.

Role Play (Distance Students Only)
All Students enrolled purely by correspondence need to complete the Risk
Management Role Play Assessment (Module 6 Activity 4), after completing all
MCQs.

The Role Play Guidelines requires the student to assume the role of a financial
advisor presenting a statement of advice (SoA) to a client played by another
individual. Your delivery of the Role Play MUST be assessed. This can be done
either by:
1. an IBI assessor at an IBI training centre,
2. an IBI assessor via a webcam;
3. another qualified assessor approved by IBI or
4. you can submit your Role Play presentation to IBI on DVD/video.
