Tuesday, 9/2
Students will discuss the process analysis essay.
Obj. TSW read and discuss the requirements for a process analysis essay.
CW: TSW complete:
 Bellringer 8: a paragraph explaining discussing how to form good study habits.
 Turn in typed narrative essay (test grade).
 Read chap. 9 (p. 58-67) on process analysis essays. Annotate and discuss.
 Complete a concept map, outline, and introduction paragraph for a process
analysis essay.
Wednesday-Thursday, 9/3-4
Students will compose a process analysis essay.
Obj. TSW finish the outline and begin the rough draft of the process analysis essay.
CW: TSW complete:
 Bellringer 9: a paragraph about how they would live without technology.
 Read and annotate the chapter on close reading of short stories (p. 545-550).
Discuss.
 Write process analysis outline. Begin rough draft of essay.
HW: Complete typed copy of the process analysis outline.
Friday-Monday, 9/5, 9/8
Students will draft the process analysis essay.
Obj. TSW read and discuss “Young Goodman Brown” and work on process analysis
essay.
CW: TSW complete:
 Bellringer 10: a paragraph explaining how to be safe online (daily).
 Turn in typed process analysis outline (daily grade).
 Read “Young Goodman Brown” (p. 1-13). Annotate and discuss.
 Work on process analysis essay.
