CertainTeed’s formaldehyde-absorbing AirRenew® Essential Indoor Air Quality wallboard now
available at Home Hardware Building Centres
(Mississauga, Ontario) – CertainTeed’s sought-after AirRenew® Essential Indoor Air Quality
(IAQ) Gypsum Board is now widely available throughout Canada thanks to a new partnership
between building products manufacturer CertainTeed Corporation and Home Hardware Stores
Limited, Canada’s largest dealer-owned hardware, lumber, building materials and furniture
cooperative. Effective immediately, homeowners and contractors can buy the high-performance
wallboard direct from Home Hardware Stores in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New
Brunswick, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island and Quebec.

AirRenew Essential is GREENGUARD® Gold certified and can contribute to indoor
environmental quality, recycled materials, and innovation in design credits for green projects. It
contains up to 99 percent total recycled content and may also provide regional materials
depending on project location. In addition, AirRenew Essential has received Environmental
Claims Validation (ECV) from UL Environment for permanent formaldehyde absorption, mold
resistance, recycled content and regional materials.
