Summer Solstice – the longest day of the year – greets homeowners on Sunday, June 21. While
many may embrace the warm weather, the electricity bill that comes with keeping a home cool is

keep unwanted heat out of the home, it creates a great opportunity for family fun.
Kill the lights – It’s always a good idea to eliminate additional heat sources in your home.
Incandescent light bulbs use a lot of power and only a fraction is actually used for light; the rest
is wasted. To avoid additional heat, switch to compact fluorescent or LED bulbs for efficiency.
