Management Program A. COURSE DESCRIPTION This course will focus on providing the student with well grounded knowledge on the practical approaches to managing information systems. Particular emphasis will be given to learning how to interpret information management issues from a managerial perspective, and how to best incorporate information technology into an organization, using case studies of successful strategies used in corporate America. B. METHOD OF INSTRUCTION A combination of lectures and case study analysis and presentations will be used, in addition to weekly quizzes and individual research. Students will identify basic challenges of managing in a digital world, and the typical organization structures within IT. 3. Students will identify and demonstrate how to translate the use of information systems technology into strategies for achieving business goals and objectives. 4. Students will be able to relate and explain the use of information systems in their particular field and/organization. 5. Students will identify and assess the key legal and ethical issues in information technology. 6. Students will be able to demonstrate how the use of information systems technology impacts a business’s operational processes. D.
