Age of Conan: Charter Charter These rules are subject to change. If you notice a new post in this thread it would benefit you to check what was updated. All new amendments to the rules will be highlighted in red for one month so that everyone has ample time to review them. I. Mission Statement: Last of a Fallen Legion - Age of Conan (AoC) is a PVE (raiding) and PVP guild based on the principles of friendship, loyalty, trust, and commitment. Our focus is on endgame raiding and group world PvP and mini-games. We are a causual guild with a few hard core players. We believe in helping our Last of a Fallen Legion family members prepare for both raiding and player vs. player combat. We are a guild that is open for change, and will create the best possible environment we see fit. We have basic rules and guidelines that gear our decisions in all aspects of every game II. General Rules: Core Rules must be followed by all members of Last of a Fallen Legion regardless of rank or time in guild. a. Last of a Fallen Legion Guild members will respect all opposing guild members. We realize that certain situations may be more frustrating than you can handle. We ask you to respect Last of a Fallen Legion enough to keep our reputation in the game as clean as possible. When you antagonize or complain about another guild's actions in-game you aren't portraying a positive image of Last of a Fallen Legion and we ask you to keep this in mind in your endeavors in AoC. Code of Conduct - Last of a Fallen Legion Core Rules 1. DO NOT antagonize or complain about another guild's actions in-game - in global, tells or loca chatl, you aren't portraying a positive image of Last of a Fallen Legion. b. All Last of a Fallen Legion Members are eligible for the opportunity to be promoted. However, the creation of this opportunity is entirely up to the individual. If you want a promotion, you must prove yourself. "No freebies, no friendsies". Consideration for promotion depends on several factors: Dedication to the guild, following the rules, leadership abilities, maturity, and ability to work with a team. Popularity doesn’t even register on the radar in this one, so don’t even think about kissing ass, it may actually hurt your chances. This guild takes its leadership positions seriously. You must have the necessary skills (in all shapes and forms) in order to be in the position required. Again, just because you’ve put in time doesn’t mean you will automatically be promoted. Certain people work better in certain roles. Members will be promoted to a leadership position simply for the betterment of the guild and egotistic personalities will NOT be tolerated. c. Nobody in this guild will receive special treatment based on their race, religion, sex, relationships (whether real life friend or mate) with other guild members, rank, or participation. Everyone is equal in this guild. We are all bound by the same rules, regardless of any differences. Code of Conduct - Last of a Fallen Legion Core Rules 2. Treat others how you wish to be treated. Respect is of the utmost importance in this guild, so please don't be an outcast. d. Last of a Fallen Legion has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for cheaters, hackers, or grief players. Any members found to behave in such a manner will be IMMEDIATELY and PERMANENTLY ejected from Last of a Fallen Legion. We consider cheating or hacking the highest crime in this guild, as it could ruin our reputation forever, and will result in you being permanently banned from this guild. If you discover a cheat, or know of someone cheating, report it privately to the Guild Master (GM) or one of the Guild Officers. Code of Conduct - Last of a Fallen Legion Core Rules 3. ZERO TOLERANCE policy for cheaters, hackers, or grief players. We consider cheating or hacking the highest crime in this guild, as it could ruin our reputation forever, and will result in you being permanently banned from this guild III. Alliances: a. All alliances must be approved by the GM and Guild Council after reviewing and interviewing with the leadership of the guild wishing to align with us. The guild must accept our other alliance members. This means that they will treat our circle of alliances as their own, following all of our rules of conduct when they interact together. b. Alliance leaders must meet with our leaders at least once a month. We need updates on their situation and membership status as well as notifications of any poor conduct from either side of the alliance. We also require this communication to ensure continued interest in keeping the alliance strong. If the leader of the allied guild cannot be reached after one week of attempting to contact him, the alliance will be declared invalid and the ceasefire agreement broken. c. All Last of a Fallen Legion members are required to help our alliances when needed. If you are reported as killing any alliance members, you will be subject to a review with an officer and possible removal from the guild. Current Alliances: Immortal IV. KOS - Members of Last of a Fallen Legion should refrain from offering assistance to any KOS guilds. In addition, all members are encouraged to attack and harass these guilds within the constraints of our behavioral policies. Current KOS: Reincarnation Primal Instinct Carnage Genesis Usual Suspects Flowers of Happiness Dead Kow Kult Valhalla Exodus Ninth Legion Rain F.E.A.R. Murdering Gankers (or Ganksters) Addiction RIP Asylum The Kings Raiders ENGAGE AT WILL: Corrupted Darkness These guilds have shown themselves to be gankers, exploiters, or simply enemies of our guild. You are encouraged to kill them as often as possible and in any way you please, aside from using exploits., therefore the pvp rules of engament in Section XI do not apply. V. Leadership: a. Guild Master. Signy What (s)he says, goes. All major changes to scheduling events or policies must be passed by either the guild leader or guild council. Last of a Fallen Legion is a democracy with a guild council of core players which establish policy for the guild, the GM is the “tie” buster for all guild conflicts. b. Guild Council (Officers) Jetface Zerc Alacrius Blkcircle Impersonating officers will not be tolerated. If you are caught discussing anything with another party while they are under the assumption that you are on official of the guild is grounds for stiff punishment and/or removal from the guild. VI. Recruitment Process Current recruitment is completed though open recruiting efforts and invites by Officers and those given authority to do so. We require all guild members to read and become familiarized with the guild chater and our core values. We have zero tolerance on violations of guild policy or core values. VII. Guild Communication a. The forums are the official form of communication. If you don’t read the forums you are not up to date on guild policies. The forums are the best possible place to communicate any problems or needs you may have in game. Members helping members is what a guild is all about. For this purpose we have a forum dedicated to multiple topics including weapon and armor crafting, gemcutting and class builds. b. If there is something you need to discuss in private with an officer please use the forum’s Private Message (PM) system or ask one of us in vent to pull you into a meeting room. c. Guild Meetings: We currently have two different kinds of meetings; officer, and guild-wide. Officers currently meet weekly or whenever necessary. Guild-wide meetings will be scheduled on a monthly basis or as needed. Code of Conduct - Last of a Fallen Legion Core Rules 4. Speak your mind, but do it in an appropriate manner. Everyone has a voice in the guild. VIII. Crafter Rules for Crafted Items and Materials a. Last of a Fallen Legions do not charge guild members for the crafting of items. We are a family here and helping a guild member benefits the guild as a whole. b. Materials needed to construct items requested by members is the individual member’s responsibility to acquire the necessary materials for the crafter. Under no circumstances will the members be required to provide more material than is necessary to craft an item. NOTE: Tips for our Guild Crafters are nice, but ethics must be observed. Crafters must not demand tips. IX. Harassment: a. Do not go out of your way to harass another member whom you know won’t respond well. This builds up animosity and ultimately will lead to unnecessary drama. b. Last of a Fallen Legion believes in promoting a harmonious gaming/social environment, where every member is treated with respect and dignity. No one should feel threatened, intimidated or degraded on grounds of race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origins, sex, married status, sexual orientation, disability, physical characteristics, health, age, religion or belief. c. Harassment in forums, in-game or out-of-game is unacceptable and will not be permitted or condoned. Examples might include: racially derogatory remarks or insults; slandering online grafitti or slogans; racist 'jokes', banter, ridicule or taunts; using a disparaging or offensive tone when communicating with people from certain racial groups; avoiding people because of their racial group; having unrealistic expectations of performance or imposing excessive workloads on people, based on their racial group; unnecessarily picking on individuals from particular racial groups; and sexist or biased comments. c. All members should encourage a person who says they have been bullied or harassed to seek help, and be sensitive to their feelings; and refrain from taking part in, encouraging or condoning gossip about cases of alleged or actual harassment or bullying. d. All complaints of harassment or racial discrimination will be treated seriously and dealt with promptly through the complaints procedure (via the Forum, in-game tells to officers or PMs to officers). Disciplinary action, including removal from the guild, may be taken against any member found responsible for racial discrimination or harassment. Code of Conduct - Last of a Fallen Legion Core Rules 5. Harassment will not be tolerated for any reason. If you make someone feel seriously uncomfortable, you will be under consideration for immediate removal at the discretion of the Chapter Leader. If the member's issue/problem is with an Officer of Last of a Fallen Legion - AOC, the member should feel free to speak with the GM of the Age of Conan chapter or a member of the Last of a Fallen Legion Council. c. If the member's issue/problem is with the GM of the Age of Conan chapter, the member is encourage to PM Zed on the message boards for assistance in resolving the issue. d. Please do not take your personal offenses to guild chat. While the Officers of Last of a Fallen Legion - AOC, and members of the Last of a Fallen Legion Council are more than happy to assist you with issue resolution, the general member most likely does not want to read about why you and another member don't get along in game. We are all adults in this chapter, please act like it. Do not rant and rave about why you think something or someone sucks. Code of Conduct - Last of a Fallen Legion Core Rules 6. Follow the chain of command. Decisions will always be made and finalized by using the chain of command. Please speak to an officer asking to be pulled down in vent or send a PM via the forums. e. We have a strong alliance with them and breaking this rule will result in removal from the guild. If you are attacked by Immortal, defend yourself and disengage. Make sure you get the attackers name and inform a guild officer (such as Signy, Jetface, or Zerc). Note: From time to time, we do duel with immortal for practice. In this case, this rule does not apply during the duel. However, try not to get angry and do not trash talk Immortal. b. Do not antagonize or degrade players or guilds in any global chat channels in game. If you have something to say to your enemies, please say it locally. Globally whining or degrading a player or guild does not reflect Last of a Fallen Legions moral standing, regardless of the situation. c. Do not grief or spawn camp unless you have very good reason to. Refrain from spawn camping unguilded players or those from neutral guilds. Remember that this is just a game and there is no reason to be an asshole. Do not gank neutral guilds or unguilded players. In AoC, ganking essentially means attacking with an unfair advantage, whether it is 6v1, while they are engaged in combat, or other situations in which you have little chance of losing. This type of pvp does nothing to improve your skill and gives our guild a bad name. Note: If you are attacked by any player (except Immortal) this rule no longer applies. We aren't gankers but will happily kill anyone who engages us, no matter how much of advantage we may have d. Do not kill anyone marked as a friend of the guild. (HOS) e. Do not assist anyone marked as an enemy. (KOS) f. If you are in a pick-up group and they begin attacking a group with any HOS or alliance members in it, remove yourself from the fight and explain the situation to those you are grouped with. g. Do not fight in PvP if your intention is to give players murder points. This is considered a violation of our moral and ethical integrity. h. Do not attack anyone talking to an NPC. This is considered an exploit by Funcom, although they don't do much to enforce it anymore Note: to clarify, we encourage our members to develop pvp skill and enjoy the ruthless playstyle of Tyranny. Attacking any player (not in Immortal) on even ground is not only acceptable, but encouraged. Code of Conduct - Last of a Fallen Legion Core Rules 7. We encourage our members to develop pvp skill and enjoy the ruthless playstyle of Tyranny. Attacking any player (not in Immortal) on even ground is not only acceptable, but encouraged.
