will be held 25-29 June, 2012 at the Singapore Marriott Hotel in Singapore.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
Parking For local attendees who drive, car park coupons can be purchased at $5 nett daily.
Taxis and Car Rental services are available from Singapore Changi International Airport, with an
approximate driving time of 30 minutes to the Marriott.
CLASS REGISTRATION HOURS
Registration will be held in Level 3, Grand Ballroom I and II of the Singapore Marriott Hotel. Registration is
Monday, 25 June, from 07:00 - 08:30 hrs. Signage will direct you to the registration area. At this time, you
will receive your workbook, class information, name badge and other related materials. An Orientation of
the JTR School will be held for both classes between 08:30 and 09:00 hrs. on Monday, 25 June
CLASS HOURS
From Monday to Friday, morning classes begin at 09:00 hrs. and are three hours in length, ending at 12:00
noon with the exception of Tuesday. Please arrive on time each morning as we will start promptly at 09:00
hrs. On Tuesday, class photographs will be taken during the mid-morning break and Tuesday’s morning
class will end at 12:30 hrs. Afternoon classes are also three hours in length following lunch.
LUNCH
Lunch will be 12:00 noon – 13:30 hrs. on Monday; 12:30- 13:30 hrs. on Tuesday; 12:00 noon – 13:00 hrs.
on Wednesday; 12:00 noon – 13:30 hrs. on Thursday; and 12:00 noon – 13:00 hrs. on Friday. Lunch is
buffet style at the Marriott Café, located on Level 1.

CERTIFICATION INFO SESSION: HOW YOU CAN BECOME A CERTIFIED SHOPPING CENTRE
PROFESSIONAL
Monday, 25 June, 16:30 – 17:00 hrs. Cervantes Lee, CCIM, CDP, CSM, CLS, CMD and Kevin Zhang, CLS
will tell you about the prerequisites for taking a certification exam, the process for application, how to
prepare, and what a certification exam is like. You’ll hear about what certification has meant to them,
personally and professionally. We’ll tell you what you should know about preparing for and sitting for one
of ICSC’s four certification exams.
The Certified Shopping Centre Manager (CSM), Certified Marketing Director (CMD), Certified Leasing
Specialist (CLS), and Certified Development, Design and Construction Professional (CDP) cerification
programmes are designed to elevate professional standards, enhance individual performance and
designate those who demonstrate knowledge essential to the respective practices of shopping centre
expertise. When you apply for this designation, you have taken the first step toward joining a distinguished
group of executives who have made the commitment of excellence in shopping center leasing; to enhance
their professional career and give themselves a competitive edge; and to demonstrate their ongoing pursuit
of knowledge. You owe it to yourself to take your career to the next level.
WELCOME RECEPTION
After class on Monday, 25 June, at about 17:00 hrs., we will go to The Living Room at the Singapore
Marriott and you can have a drink on us and get to network with your fellow students and faculty members.
SHOPPING CENTER VISIT
On Wednesday, 27 June, at around 17:00 hrs., both the Level I and Level II classes will visit Wisma Atria.
Please wear comfortable shoes as we will be walking from the hotel to the centre located nearby, and then
walking through the centre itself for about 90 minutes. You will be asked to write your observations of the
centre, and on Friday you will present your observations to the class. Note:all JTR Singapore students
must attend the Shopping Centre Visit.
CLOSING GRADUATION CEREMONY AND RECEPTION
On Friday, 29 June, at around 15:00 hrs., and following the final class of this year’s JTR Singapore School,
we will have a Graduation Ceremony, where we will present Certificates of Participation and class
photographs. A Closing Reception will follow. The Ceremony and Reception should end around 16:30 hrs.
e-BOOKS
For Level I you will receive the e-book, Dictionary of Shopping Center Terms. For Level II you will receive
the e-book, Brief Notes for Shopping Center Management. They are new publications and will be e-mailed
to you by the end of July.
SECURITY NOTE
We need to vacate the classroom each day by no later than 17:00 hrs. and you’ll need to take all of your
belongings with you. The room is being used by another group in the evening. ICSC and the Singapore
Marriott Hotel are not responsible for any missing items.
CLASS LOCATION
Classes will be conducted in the Grand Ballroom I and II, Level 3.
ATTIRE
Business casual. Please have a sweater or jacket with you as the meeting rooms tend to be cool.
FACULTY MEMBERS
The faculty are fellow professionals from Singapore, China, Hong Kong, the Phillipines, Malaysia,
Indonesia and Australia with extensive experience in the industry. They are volunteering their time and
effort to share their knowledge with you.
YOUR PARTICIPATION IN CLASS
These courses are designed by ICSC Education to allow for interaction between the instructors and the
class . Please feel free to raise your hand during the presentations to make observations, ask questions
and comment on the discussions.
EVALUATIONS
Session Evaluation forms are found in your notebook and will be collected after each session. It is very
important that you take the time to complete these forms. Please turn them in to the Registration Desk
after each session. Your input is appreciated. You will also be asked to fill out an Overall Evaluation,
found in the back of your notebook, to give your impressions of the JTR Global School experience and to
help us plan future events.
REFRESHMENT BREAKS
There will be coffee and tea available before morning classes begin; plus 15-minute breaks in the midmorning and mid-afternoon.
FITNESS CENTRE
The Singapore Marriott Hotel has an on-site fitness centre.
ICSC PUBLICATIONS PURCHASED DURING THE WEEK
Free shipping is offered for any ICSC Publications purchased during the JTR Global School. You may
make your publication purchases using the form provided in the ICSC Bookstore Catalog given to you at
Registration. Note: Publication orders will be shipped to you within four to six weeks.
POWERPOINTS PROVIDED
In addition to providing an essential ICSC textbook, and a workbook with course outlines and other course
material, you will be given a password to the ICSC JTR Singapore School web site where you can retrieve
all of your school’s presentations and download them on to your computer..
CALCULATORS AND LAPTOPS
In this class, there are some calculations to be made, so please pack a calculator with you. Any make or
model will do. With regard to laptops, you’re welcome to bring one to class if you like. It is not mandatory in
any way that you do so. If you bring a laptop, it should be battery powered, as there are not electrical plugs
in the classroom available for you to plug in your laptop.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
Attendance will be taken at each morning and each afternoon session and you are required to sign an attendance
sheet. Please make sure that you sign the sheet before leaving each session. Upon verification of attendance,
certificates will be presented at our graduation ceremony and congratulatory receptionlusion on Friday, 29 June,
from 13:00 – 15:00 hrs. Class photographs will also be given out at that time.. Attendance is mandatory for all
sessions. NO EXCEPTIONS. Certificates of Completion will only be awarded to students who meet this
requirement. Students who copy other students’signatures on attendance sheets will also not receive
certificates.
