GEC Curricular Policies

“Writing” (“W”) Course Requirement
All WVU students are required to successfully complete at least one course that requires a substantial
writing component. We offer W-sections of 5 students for many of the upper division geology courses. Each
student must successfully complete one W-course to graduate.
