ARCADIS AQUMEN Extends Facility Management Contract With DSM
February 23, 2010 – ARCADIS (NYSE EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design,
consulting, engineering and management services company, today announced that ARCADIS
AQUMEN, a joint venture of ARCADIS and British Carrillion, has signed a contract
extension for its facility management contracts with DSM. The extension covers a 4 year
period (3 years plus an option for a 1 year extension). The last contract with DSM was valid
until January 1, 2011 and this will now be extended by three years. ARCADIS AQUMEN
provides procurement and management services related to facility management on an annual
basis for DSM with a total value of approximately € 20 million.
The facility management and real estate services are delivered on plant and office locations of
DSM. Activities include procurement and management of building maintenance, real estate
management, catering, cleaning, and staff transportation. With this extension, ARCADIS
AQUMEN will also contribute to the strategic cost saving program of DSM.

will provide additional added value to DSM in these economically difficult times,” said Bernt
