Quality has become the bottleneck for the development of Chinese brand to a worldwide brand. The rapid growth of Germany and Japan after the world war has proved that quality is the key factor to success. How can companies turn passive to active in face of more and more complex economics environment? How can companies overcome the quality obstacle and win the competition?
Funded by the National Sciences Foundation of China and Hong Kong Research Grant Council, Li&Fung
Institute of SCM & Logistics of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, together with Kelly Business School of
Indiana University, London Business School, The Centre of Business Excellence of Wuhan University, Service
Marketing and Service Management Research Center of Fudan University, CUHK Faculty of Business
Administration ShenZhen Executive Education Center(BAEEC), IPS Hong Kong and ISM-PRD organize this executive forum. We will invite distinguished professors and practitioners on quality management from America,
Europe and China, to share the latest theories and best practices regarding how to improve quality from a supply chain perspective.
As the competition now is not limited at the firm level, companies have to seek to gain advantages over competing supply chain. High quality can not be achieved without the cooperation through the whole supply chain. Therefore, quality practices must advance from traditional firm-centric and product-based mindsets to an inter-organizational supply chain orientation involving customers, suppliers, and other partners.
Topics of this forum:
1) Supply chain leadership for quality and social responsibility
2) Strategic supply chain design for quality
3) Upstream (supplier) and downstream (customer) quality management system
4) Internal quality integration
5) Supply chain quality risk management and product recall system
All managers in supply chain management and quality management are welcomed. We will also provide a diagnosis of causes of problems in different links of the supply chain which can cause quality and safety risks using the latest questionnaire we have designed.
If you finish the questionnaire of “Supply Chain Quality Management and Product Recall Survey” and send back to Ms. Haiju Hu before November 3, we will invite you to dinner with the speakers for free. You can discuss with them face to face, and their professional knowledge will help you to improve your supply chain quality management process.
