POLICIES Finance and funding Community Chest and the Government do not fund Tai Pei Home. Our main sources are solely from public donation, Public Assistance Allowance and residents’ monthly contribution. Application for admission to Home Applications are made either directly to the Home or through the hospitals’ medical social workers. And is governed by the following admission criteria: Any sick Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident of Singapore (female). Has not caregivers are able and willing to support her. Is on Public Assistance or is a destitute. Is free from infectious diseases or mental illness. Medical & Nursing Care Doctor Tham Weng Yew will come for clinical consultation every Wednesday and Saturday. Otherwise, residents who fall sick are being reference to government outpatient clinic. Nurses will company patients who are sent to the hospital for treatment in an ambulance. Physiotherapist conducts weekly physiotherapy sessions. Nutrition and Dietetics service is a routine and also as and when requested.
