Funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to develop a novel wireless local positioning system for
Airport (indoor) Security
Working closely with Dr. Seyed Alireza Zekavat
Self-taught Digital Signal Processing (DSP) chip programming and applied it into WLPS within 2 months
Programmed pulse shaping filter, match filter, correlation and detection
Working closely with a graduate student to integrate all hardware components of WLPS
Designing and building additional circuits such as feed back amplifier to improve WLPS performance
Troubleshoot challenges faced in wireless communication

MTU Aerospace Enterprise: Nanosatellite Project
(Aug 2003 – May 2005)
Funded mainly by NASA and Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) to compete with 12 chosen universities in
building a Nanosatellite (http://www.enterprise.mtu.edu/aerospace/)
Team won 3rd place in MTU’s first attempt
Engineering Experience
Assisted Power Team leader in managing overall Nanosatellite’s power distribution system
Worked with teammates in integrating and testing electronic components of power distribution system
Designed and built full charge detector for battery charging system
Designed circuit board using Eagle Layout Program and populated circuit board meeting NASA compliance
Communicated and worked with a group of over 68 members spanning various engineering backgrounds
Elected as Project Manager (Spring 2005)
Led a group of 20 to continue completion of Nanosatellite project
Presented Nanosatellite to NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Microwave Instrument Technology Branch
under the leadership of Dr Brad King
Writing a proposal requesting Nanosatellite launch space
