**Remarks:
It is a basic rule in the business world that one has to honor his/her commitment for any
appointment and to show up punctually. It's a courtesy to respect all concerned parties in not
wasting other people's precious time. It also demonstrates whether the person is responsible,
reliable and professional.
Once you accept this appointment, it means you are available in that period and you should show
up on time. In case later you really cannot make it due to another unforeseen matter which is
more important, you must inform all parties concerned in the first instance to explain and
apologize. Failing in doing so not only damages your own credibility, but also jeopardizes the
image of our University and future opportunities of your fellow students.
In case you fail in handling the above properly, we may not consider your participation and
nomination in similar occasions in the future.
