Section 1: Career Research
1. Go to http://www.phoenix.edu and browse the available degrees, then
complete the following table.

Section 2: Career Interests Profiler
1. Complete the Career Interests Profiler, located in My Career Plan on the
student website. To access the Career Interests Profiler in My Career Plan,
complete the following steps:



Log in to the student website at https://ecampus.phoenix.edu
Click the Library tab, then click the Phoenix Career Services link.
Click Career Plan.

Click the Start button to launch the Career Interests Profiler.
2. After completing the profiler for the first time, view your results. If you
completed the profiler before you started the Orientation Workshop, click the
View Results button on the My Career Plan home page.
3. Complete the following table after viewing your results. You may describe
each career in your own words or copy and paste from the My Career Plan
results.

Section 3: Job Market Research
1. Click Phoenix Career Services under the Library tab on the student
website.
2. Click the Job Market Research tool for jobs that match your career
interests.
3. Select your search area. Next, enter a key word or phrase such as a
career field or job title into the search field next to Jobs. Refer to the
careers listed on your Career Interests Profiler Results page as you
search.
4. Review the search results in the salary, education, employers, skills and
career path sections for the job or career you searched.
5. Enter a summary of your search results in the following table. You may
note anything of interest to you. Consider adding additional jobs if you are
interested in several careers.

1. Now that you have learned about your career interests and available jobs,
write a short-term and long-term goal that will help you get closer to your
goal of finding your ideal career.

2. Login to your student website and navigate to My Career Plan.
3. On the My Career Plan page, click Add Task and type in your 6 month
career goal.
4. Next, select a date 6 months from now by clicking Set Date next to your
goal as shown below.
5. Add another task for your 1 year career goal and set the date one year
from now. These tasks will save to your career plan, which you may
change anytime. You may also add other goals.
