LECTURER
Professor Luis Solis, Harvard Business School graduate, is currently a Chair of the Process
Management Department at Instituto de Empresa. Before, he held professorships at College of
Business Administration, University of Toledo, USA and Monterey Institute of Technology,
Mexico.
It comes as no surprise that Luis Solis has gained a number of teaching awards and is welcomed
as a trainer and consultant in leading multinational companies and a visiting professor at business
schools in the USA, France, UK, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, China, Colombia, Guatemala, El
Salvador, Costa Rica and many other.
When he teaches courses in service operations and operations management, Prof Solis is drawing
upon a vast pool of knowledge and experience gained by working with a wide range of
companies including FORD, GENERAL ELECTRIC, DEUTCHE TELEKOM, PROCTER
& GAMBLE, PHILLIP MORRIS, PFIZER, HEINEKEN, ALMIRALL, JOHN DEERE,
TELEFONICA DATA, UNION FENOSA, PEMEX, GENERAL MOTORS,
ACCENTURE, SAP, GRUPO SONAE, DAIMLERCHRYSLER, AIRBUS, SKANDIA,
IBERDROLA, SCH and others.
He also leads and participates in research initiatives such as Success Factors in Strategic
Alliances in Supply Chains in the Spanish Industry, An Empirical Study of Techno-Stress and its
Impact on Business Performance and Knowledge Management and New Product Development
in the Supply Chain. And he has published his work in journals such as Total Quality
Management, the Journal of Quality Management and the International Journal of Technology
Management.

selected cases, exercises and videos to create an environment where executives have to think
about the implications of the concepts they study.
