Dear Members of the Social Enterprise Community:
Welcome to Rhode Island. It is a pleasure to serve as the Honorary
Chair for the SEEED Summit. I believe social enterprise offers great
promise as an innovative economic development driver for Rhode
Island and our nation. In my home state alone, I have seen how
social enterprise is creating new jobs and opportunities. I have
experienced how it creates more sustainable solutions for the most
pressing societal challenges. I look forward to supporting the field
as it continues to develop and commend you for your work.
Sincerely,
Senator Sheldon Whitehouse
