Building The Kingdom
of God
Sept. 10, 2015
A Note from Administration
Are you ready for our second virtue of
the year? It is the virtue of JUSTICE.
Justice is being fair in all that we do. It
requires us to take a look at all that
goes on around us before we make a
decision. It helps us stand up for our
rights and the rights of others. It also
means that when we make a mistake
we correct that mistake and accept the
consequences. We want everyone to
be treated fairly. Justice means that the
rights of all people are protected. You
will find another home activity sheet
this week that centers on justice. I
would like to thank everyone that participated in the respect activity. You
can see the projects in the hallway by
the office.
Ascend is up and running! This is a
wonderful program that helps us to
build an open line of communication for
your child’s success. Parents received
a log in sheet on Tuesday and Mrs. Gasaway has already had 6th Grade in the
lab to log on so the students can learn
how to use the program. Currently you
can access homework and grades. We
are continuing to build on the conduct
page as well as the progress and report card page. As in past years, your
student will receive an effort and conduct grade along with the academic
grade. Please contact Mrs. Gondeck if
you are experiencing problems. There
will be two informational sessions next
Tuesday, Sept 15th at 4:30 p.m. and
6:00 p.m. for anyone needing help.
As we start to wind down summer and
look for the beauty of fall, remember to
take time daily to share the gifts that
God has given you with others. It
might be a book read to a child, a walk
with a neighbor, or a smile given to a
cashier. We are here to build God’s
kingdom one step at a time.
Yours In Christ,
Mrs. Gondeck
The students in grades 3, 4 and 5 created this video/prayer as a special
